Papaya

You can tell that a papaya is ripe and ready to eat from the slight orange blush on its yellowy green skin.

If the papaya is 3/4 yellow it is ready to enjoy in little pieces or with your favorite yogurt.
When the papaya is totally yellow is sweet and ready for juice and smoothies.

How to cut it

First is very important to wash the papaya, even if the skin it’s not edible to prevent contaminating the inside.

Cut the papaya in half lengthways parts.

Using a teaspoon, scoop out the black seeds and discard.

Use a small sharp knife to cut the flesh away from the skin of each half and remove all the skins and slice the papaya in spears or chunks.
